Christmas is a census-designated place and an unincorporated area in Orange County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,162 at the 2000 census. Christmas is home to the world's largest alligator shaped building, measuring at just over 200 feet (61 m). Every year, Christmas sends a large amount of mail from its Post Office from people who mail letters from the town so they can have the 'Christmas' postmark on their holiday mailings.
It is also home to many Orlando digital TV stations' transmission towers.
On December 25, 1837, a force of 2,000 U.S. Army Soldiers and Alabama Volunteers arrived in the area to construct a fort, which they named, Fort Christmas. The fort was one of over 200 forts built during the Second Seminole War.

Holiday (Sometimes confused with Anclote), is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pasco County, Florida, United States. It is a suburb included in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 21,904 at the 2000 census.
The name Holiday, like the names of many towns, comes from a spark of marketing inspiration. At a board meeting of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Tarpon Springs on Oct. 13, 1966, members discussed naming the new branch of the bank as the Holiday branch, since the post office had a substation on Holiday Drive nearby. In November 1967, board members suggested to local builders and newspaper reporters that future events in the area be referred to as occurring in Holiday. The bank gave away 1000 license plates for the front of automobiles reading “Holiday Florida” (Gloria Focht in WPH).
